Bloomsbury swaps wizards for whisks

Nigel Newton, the man responsible for accepting and publishing JK Rowling's Harry Potter series, said Bloomsbury Publishing re-invested the profit it made from the wizard's success.




The £100 million was Invested in 23 acquisitions that have helped to build up a substantial academic division.




Seemingly undaunted by the digital age, the publishing house is thriving with a new range of cookery books. Celebrity chefs Tom Kerridge and Paul Hollywood are, according to Nigel Newton, the "rockstars of the present".
