The US Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) - the R&D segment of the Department of Defence - recently announced that the agency is considering replacing tanks in the US Army with smaller and lighter options that may actually make military personnel safer.
Tanks are still being utilised in modern warefare and cost a lot of money to make, the first one in the list is the K2 Black Panther, used by the South Korean military, and it costs $8.5m (approximately £5m) to manufacture.
