Miranda Carr, NSBO head of China research, said: "obviously with a company its size the growth does trend down. Growth trended down from 60pc to 50pc for the annualised to June 2014.
"(Alibaba's) growth internationally is only 20pc but it does represent a huge opportunity", she said.
Ms Carr also warned buyers of a potential new online sales tax (10pc), as well fake goods purchases.
