Meanwhile, in the super slick, fancy schmantzy new entrance to King's Cross underground station, (oh, the glamour!) our favourite high street brand, Whistles, were busy showing their very brilliant we-want-it-now collection.
Jane Shepherdson was on hand to talk us through the collection which, she said, was 'slightly tropical, a little bit carnival - what you want to be taking on holiday.'
Shame we have to wait til next year to buy it. But you can register your interest now and whistles will send you a reminder when it's in store.
