Sir Bradley Wiggins is ahead of the pack when it comes to his post-cycling career.
Dashwood can reveal that the Olympian is drawing up a five-year business plan to keep him busy when he retires after Rio 2016, in consultation with media mogul Simon Fuller’s talent management company, XIX Entertainment.
Dashwood likes the idea of a “Mod Bike”, after the dapper sportsman’s devotion to the Quadrophenia era. But a range of branded gyms or a deal with a coffee bean manufacturer are nearer the mark, Dashwood understands, in a nod to professional pedallers’ penchant for the black stuff as a morning “pick me up”.
A Sir Bradley-branded coffee shop would indeed create a buzz.

Tullow OIl chief Aidan Heavey and his finance lieutenant, Ian Springett, got into the swing of corporate entertainment at the oil company’s annual golf day last Wednesday.
This year's client outing, held at Sunningdale Golf Course in Berkshire, raised £170,000 for the cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
Formula 1 star Eddie Jordan kept the fundraising on track.
