The so-called "load factor", the measure of how full its flights are, rose 1.4 percentage points to 94.2pc in August, the highest on record.
While the Irish airline dominates the skies for overall passengers, carrying 9.3m passengers in August, its load factors have fallen behind those of easyJet in the last year.
Ryanair's outspoken chief executive, Michael O'Leary, admitted in November that easyJet front but the airline has since rolled out a raft of improvements, including fully allocated seating and allowing passengers to take on a second, small item of cabin baggage on board.
